However, in light of the recent fraud allegations, Nam Hyun-hee has distanced herself from these gifts, claiming that they were unwanted.
In an interview released by Channel A on the 29th, Nam Hyun-hee stated that she was constantly being showered with gifts by Jeon Cheong-jo, despite expressing her reluctance to accept them. In view of the unfolding sex and fraud allegations against Jeon Cheong-jo, Kim Min-seok, a lawmaker from Seoul’s Gangseo district, has submitted a petition to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, urging them to investigate possible fraud charges against both Nam Hyun-hee and Jeon Cheong-jo. Rep. Kim asserts that there is a deep connection between the two individuals, with Jeon Cheong-jo reportedly directing victims seeking reimbursement for their investments to contact Nam Hyun-hee. Rep. Kim also suggests looking into whether the Bentley and luxury bag owned by Nam Hyun-hee were acquired through illicit means, implying collusion between the two parties.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has transferred the case of attempted fraud involving Jeon Cheong-jo from the Gangseo Police Station to the Songpa Police Station, where a thorough investigation is currently underway. Meanwhile, Jeon Cheong-jo has been prohibited from leaving the country pending further inquiries.

Kim said, “It seems that the relationship is so deep that Jeon Cheong-jo told the victims (who asked for their investment money back), ‘You can ask Nam Hyun-hee.’ “What Jeon Cheong-jo did to commit fraud is almost impossible on his own,” he said, adding, “We need to confirm whether the Bentley and the luxury bag that Nam Hyun- hee comes from the proceeds of crime,” and pointed out that suspicions of collusion should be investigated.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 29th, the case of attempted fraud involving Jeon Cheong-jo, which was filed at the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul, was transferred to the Songpa Police Station in Seoul the previous day and is being investigated on now.
