The first National Student (Youth) Games culminated in an exhilarating softball final today, as the Nanjing team emerged triumphant over the Luoyang team with a score of 7:4, securing the coveted gold medal.
The game, which saw seven rounds of intense competition, witnessed the Luoyang team taking an early lead in the third inning with the first score. However, the Nanjing team retaliated in the fourth inning, seizing the lead with a powerful offensive that left the Luoyang team trailing at 4:1. Despite a brief comeback from the Luoyang team in the sixth inning, the Nanjing team’s three-run home run in the same inning sealed their victory at 7:2.
