National Energy Policy Committee Cancels Sale of Diesel B10, Reducing Dispenser Options to 2 Types starting May 1, 2024

The National Energy Policy Committee has decided to cancel the sale of Diesel B10, reducing the number of dispensers to 2 types, effective from 1 May 2024 onwards.

Mr revealed Sarawut Kaewtathip, Director General of the Energy Business Department, according to the National Energy Policy Committee (NEPC), a decision approving guidelines for reducing the type of fast diesel fuel, which came into force on 1 May 2024. Repeal B10 fast diesel fuel (B10 oil) and note that there are 2 types of diesel fuel:

1. Ordinary fast diesel fuel (B7 oil): Diesel fuel containing 7 percent biodiesel by volume (oil colour: yellow) is the country’s primary diesel fuel. Because it can be used with today’s cars of all models and brands.

2. Fast diesel fuel B20 (B20 oil): Diesel fuel containing 20 percent biodiesel by volume (oil color: red) is an alternative fuel. for large trucks

In force from 1 May 2024 onwards.
