Kozhikode: Kerala lost in the first round of the National Senior Women’s Football Championship without seeing a quarter. Kerala’s hopes were dashed when they drew with Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. C Reshma scored for Kerala and Palak scored one goal each for Madhya Pradesh.
Mizoram entered the quarterfinals from Group G, which included Kerala. The match was played at the Corporation EMS Stadium. Though there were many chances to score a goal, Kerala could not reach the target.
