The Nationals reported that Ruiz sustained a head bruise from the incident. ⁢He immediately left the dugout after being hit and was replaced⁤ by Riley Adams.

following the Nationals’ 10-6 victory, ruiz underwent a CT scan. In a corresponding move, catcher Drew Millas was ⁤called up ⁢from Triple-A Rochester. Millas has a .247 batting average with four home runs and 25 RBIs in 52 games.
