Nationwide protest today against alleged rigging of PTI by-elections

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has called for a protest against rigging in the by-elections today, PTI leaders claim that raids are being conducted on houses and offices of assembly members and ticket holders in Lahore to stop the protest.

PTI has announced a nationwide protest today against the alleged rigging of general elections and by-elections.

According to the inconclusive results released by the Election Commission of Pakistan, the ruling party Muslim League (N) won 21 seats in the national and provincial assemblies in the by-elections.

Raids on houses and offices are going on, PTI

PTI leaders claim that raids are being conducted on houses and offices of assembly members and ticket holders in Lahore to stop the protest.

PTI claimed that the police was taking action against the workers to stop the protest against rigging in the by-election.

By-elections inconclusive results

According to the Forms 47 issued by the Election Commission, out of 5 seats in the National Assembly, Muslim League (N) won 2 seats from Punjab, while Sunni Etihad Council and independent candidates won one seat each from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. won the seat of the National Assembly.

In Punjab, the Muslim League (N) won 10 provincial seats, while the Stability Pakistan Party (IPP) won one seat, one seat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one seat went to the Sunni Ittehad Council and an independent candidate.

In Balochistan, Muslim League (N) and Balochistan National Party-Mengal won one provincial seat each, besides Awami National Party (ANP) also won one provincial seat from PB50.

In NA 196 in Sindh, PPP won by a huge margin.
