NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards are a range that most gamers envy. After going through a long-term pandemic, the PC industry is experiencing a recovery and the trend is becoming more and more advanced day by day, and it is clear that the main device driving this process is the graphics card.
Although there is a rival called Radeon, in fact, Nvidia holds a superior position in the graphics card market. In a market where demand is overwhelming and there is absolute power, prices are bound to rise. As a result, it is difficult to purchase the flagship series, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 series, even if they are available.
Of course, according to NVIDIA, they are announcing various sub-models to broaden customer choices, but the problem is that releasing those sub-models doesn’t mean the price will be lower, so the confusion only increases.
Ironically, some complain that this product is also an extension of chaos.

# If you need higher performance than 4060 at a reasonable price
The RTX 4070 series is a model urgently introduced to please users with a more reasonable price than the flagship model and higher performance than the 4060 model. However, the problem is that the number of models with something “attached” after the model other than the simple 4070 is on the increase, making everything more and more confusing.
At least, it is understood that the RTX 4070 Ti has more cores and a slightly higher TGP than the RTX 4070. However, within a week a model called SUPER was created. The RTX 4070 also has SUPER and the RTX 4070 Ti also has SUPER.
It becomes complicated because it is less intuitive from the user’s point of view. It has become difficult to judge the superiority and inferiority of the products and decide which product is right for me.
It is easy to guess that RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is actually an improved version of RTX 4070 Ti. The problem started with the fact that the RTX 4070 Ti model was released at a price $200 higher than the RTX 4070 in the US, but there was no significant improvement in performance. Either I made an economical choice with the RTX 4070, or I overdid it and opted for the RTX 4080, but the position of the Ti model became ambiguous.

NVIDIA then discontinued the RTX 4070 Ti in 2023 and quickly introduced the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER at the same price. Compared to the RTX 4070, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER increased its core count by a whopping 43 percent from 5,888 to 8,448, and the base clock increased by 20 percent from 1,920 MHz to 2,310 MHz.
The bandwidth of the 4070 Ti and 4070 was the same at 504 GB/s, but in the SUPER model it increased by 33% to 672 GB/s. Power consumption remains the same as the Ti model, making for a notable improvement. Since the price was frozen, the market reaction was enthusiastic.
So, we are faced with the fundamental question of whether the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is worth buying. In conclusion, the answer is “yes”. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER has become a model with an embarrassing performance difference compared to the RTX 4070, and the performance difference with the RTX 4080 is even smaller.
However, the price is closer to the 4070 than the 4080. When approached only with very simple and intuitive specifications and price, there is no denying that the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is a model with excellent value for money.
With the announcement of the SUPER series, manufacturers are responding quickly and Emtech is a representative example in Korea. It can be said that the 2024 version has been replaced with SUPER, succeeding the current, already popular 4070 Ti STORM model.
