Ned Kelly is a farmer from Ballycommon, Co. Tipperary. He installed the JFC Evolution Automatic Calf Feeder in 2018 after seeing it at the National Ploughing Championships.

Before using this feeder, Ned relied on a traditional 10-teat feeder. Six years later, he shared his experience with Declan, the sales manager. Nearly 1,000 calves have been fed with the Evolution feeder. It delivered the right amount of feed consistently, improving calf health and reducing labor.

Ned used to spend over an hour each morning mixing feeds and feeding calves. Now, he only needs to top up the machine and monitor it on a digital screen. The automatic feeder also tracked each calf’s intake. If a calf drank less, Ned received an early alert, allowing him to address health issues before they worsened.

Ned praised the customer service for the feeder. Whenever he needed help, a service team arrived within two hours. This quick response kept his farm running smoothly. He said, “The service is top class.”

At first, Ned was unsure about the feeder. Now, he views it as a wise investment. It saved him labor and improved calf health. He takes pride in supporting an Irish-made product. His father, initially skeptical of new technology, became a strong advocate for the feeder.

Today, Ned is satisfied with his decision. The Evolution feeder changed how he raised calves. It provided him with peace of mind, healthier calves, and a lighter workload. Ned’s experience shows the benefits of embracing innovation.
