GRAND FORKS, N.D. ⁤ – Grant ⁣Nelson returned to his home state a hero, leading No. 6 Alabama to a hard-fought 97-90 victory over a persistent North Dakota squad‍ on Wednesday night.

Nelson, who grew up 90 ⁢minutes away in⁢ Devils Lake, delivered a ⁤double-double with 23 points‍ and 10 rebounds. But it was treysen Eaglestaff who ⁣stole the show, erupting for a career-high 40 points and eight 3-pointers for the Fighting Hawks.
