New AI App Outperforms ChatGPT, Claude, and Meta AI

A Netflix Game Controller application has reached the number one position in the App Store, surpassing several leading artificial intelligence tools. The application displaced ChatGPT, Claude, and Meta AI, which had been competing for the top ranking in the weeks prior to this shift.

The ascent of the Netflix application occurs amidst a period of significant volatility and rapid deployment within the generative AI sector. Meta’s Integration of Muse Spark AI

Meta AI, one of the apps surpassed by the Netflix Game Controller, recently underwent a major technical overhaul. On April 9, 2026, Meta launched Muse Spark AI, a new generative AI system designed to compete directly with OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude.

Muse Spark is the first model produced by the Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL). The lab was established following billions of dollars in investment by Mark Zuckerberg and the acquisition of Scale AI for more than $14 billion. This acquisition brought Alexandr Wang into the company to lead the MSL division.

According to Alexandr Wang, the Muse Spark model was developed from the ground up over a nine-month period. It’s part of the Muse AI family, which is intended to replace Meta’s previous Llama models. Muse Spark is characterized as a small, fast model that maintains the ability to reason through complex queries involving health, math, and science.

Meta has integrated Muse Spark AI across its primary ecosystem, including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. The system is designed to provide rapid and adaptable solutions by pulling information from user conversations across these integrated Meta applications.

Competitive Benchmarks and Reasoning

The launch of Muse Spark AI was positioned as a direct challenge to the existing capabilities of other large-scale AI models. Meta claims that Muse Spark matches the performance of OpenAI’s GPT 5.4 and Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.6 in specific benchmarks, particularly those focusing on agentic AI, health, and multimodal reasoning.
