New Film “Kudumba Shri and Kunjad” Starring Dhyan Srinivasan and Guinness Pakru Launched

Kottayam, October 7, 2023 – Dhyan Srinivasan’s latest film, “Kudumba Shri and Kunjad,” has officially started shooting. Produced by Benny Peters under the banner of Indie Films, the film is directed by Mahesh P. Srinivasan who also penned the story. The filming commenced on Saturday with a scene featuring Dhyan Srinivasan, Jaffer Idukki, and Ajay (Guinness Pakru).

“Kudumba Shri and Kunjad” is a comedic film that unfolds through a series of humorous moments. It weaves together two distinct storylines. One follows a police officer assigned to different stations where multiple robberies occur within the premises. Despite his best efforts, he struggles to solve the case, leading to inner conflicts. The other story revolves around an expatriate’s life disrupted by doubts about his wife.

The movie stars Anna Reshma Rajan and Sneha Babu as the leading ladies. Noteworthy actors such as Kalabhavan Shajon, Salim Kumar, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Saju Navodaya, Jayakrishnan, Cobra Rajesh, Vishnu Karthik (known for his role in “Chicken”), Majeed, Shaji Mavelikara, Anamika, Ambika Mohan, Sneha Sreekumar, Athira Rajeev, and Ottapalam Leela also play pivotal roles.

The screenplay and dialogues are written by Sreekumar Araikal, marking his return after the movie “Ente Lea.” The film will feature songs composed by Sijil Kodungallur and Manikanthan, with music by Manikanthan and Sreeju Sridhar. Radhakrishnan will handle the art direction, Vijith is in charge of makeup, and Bhaktan Mangat will handle costume design. The movie’s production team comprises associate directors Sajith Lal and Wilson Joseph, co-director Potti, and Tones Chirainkeesh, Christopher, and Saji Mangalat. D. Murali serves as the production executive, and Deepu S Kumar is the production manager. Filming is scheduled to take place in various locations in and around Kottayam. Vazhoor Jose is responsible for the film’s public relations, and Shalu Peyad is the official photographer.

The shooting started with a scene in which Dhyan Srinivasan, Jaffer Idukki and Ajay (Guinness Pakru) participated. This is a film that is presented entirely through funny moments. The film is a combination of two different stories. One is the story of a police officer who, no matter where he is assigned, a series of robberies takes place in the station premises and despite his best efforts, he is unable to trace this series of robberies and has to experienced conflict. On the other hand, doubt in the wife causes problems in the life of an expatriate.
