Amazon MGM’s upcoming “masters of the universe” movie is moving closer to release, with filming now complete. Nicolas Galtizine, the British actor portraying he-Man, shared a shadowy, rear-view image of himself in costume.
Galtizine called playing Adam and He-Man “the role of a lifetime,” adding that he “put everything into it” and is proud of the film. The new movie has Travis Knight (“Bumblebee”) directing. The cast includes Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
Amazon previewed footage at CinemaCon this past April, describing the film as “a live-action fantasy film about the most powerful man in the universe.” The footage included scenes of Adam in grayskull, working out, and wielding the Sword of Power as both Adam and He-Man.Mattel has been trying to get a new Masters of the Universe movie made for years.
