[마이데일리 = 박서연 기자] The group New Jeans will appear in Japan’s representative year-end song festival, ‘Red and White Song Battle’.
According to local Japanese media such as Yahoo Japan on the 29th, New Jeans will appear on the ’74th NHK Red and White Songfight’.
It’s very unusual for a group that hasn’t decided to debut in Japan yet to appear on ‘Red and White Song Battle’. The group Le Seraphim attracted attention by attending the ‘Red and White Song Contest’ at the end of last year, before their first game in Japan in January.
According to officials, New Jeans are due to appear in the second half of the music festival when it is almost over.
This year’s ‘Red and White Song Battle’ will feature seven K-pop groups on stage, including New Jeans, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Le Seraphim, Twice’s unit group Misamo, Niju, and JO1.
Meanwhile, New Jeans will also appear at the ’65th Japan Record Awards’ on the 30th.
