Luciana Curtis, a model from New York, was kidnapped with her husband, Henrique Gendre, and their child in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This incident occurred on November 27. The family was taken after leaving a restaurant and held for 12 hours. The kidnappers ambushed them and forced them into a remote wooden shack.
During their captivity, the gang demanded the couple transfer money from their bank accounts. The police first learned of the abduction when Curtis’s eldest daughter notified her uncle that her family did not return home.
After their release, the family received help from local residents, who guided them to a police station. The Sao Paulo Anti-Kidnapping unit began an investigation. Although officers located the hideout, the kidnappers escaped before they arrived.
Luciana Curtis is originally from Sao Paulo. She has lived in New York, Sao Paulo, and London for her modeling career. Curtis gained fame in 1993, winning the Brazilian Supermodel of the World competition. She has worked with major brands like Harrods, H&M, and Victoria’s Secret, and has appeared on prestigious magazine covers.
Following the ordeal, a spokesperson for Curtis stated that the family is safe and well.
