New Zealand female prime minister denounces US Supreme Court ruling to legalize abortion

New Zealand’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, a prominent female political leader in the international community, has lashed out at the US Supreme Court’s decision to repeal a “lawful abortion” as “believably embarrassing”.

“It is unbelievably embarrassing to see that women are being taken away from their basic right to make decisions about their own bodies,” Ardern said in a statement, New Zealand media reported on the 25th. We made a law to treat it as a health issue rather than a health issue.”

“That change is based on the basic belief that it is a woman’s choice,” he said. “People have the right to feel deep remorse over this issue.

But such personal beliefs should not take away other people’s decision-making power.”

“Watching that principle disappear in America, it felt like women around the world were missing something,” she said. “Women need to make progress when they face many challenges.”

New Zealand’s female politician, Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta, also joined the attack on Ardern’s accusation of the Supreme Court’s decision, “how could this happen” in a statement on social media.

Earlier on the 24th (local time), the U.S. Supreme Court officially repealed the so-called “Ro v. Wade” ruling, which legalized abortion for women up to six months of pregnancy, leading to measures to ban abortion in many states. A big wave is expected.
