Matías Cóccaro and Bruno Cabrera, two of Newell’s new signings, were presented at a press conference this Friday at noon in Bella Vista and expressed “the pride and responsibility” that comes with wearing “the shirt of a team with a great history like Newell’s.”
Cóccaro explained that ”it was a somewhat personal decision, due to the feeling of how it is lived here. I arrive well, I kept training and I am optimal. I was waiting a month and a half for this chance to come.”
The forward expressed: “I had many proposals and I am happy with that. But I decided based on the feeling, the euphoria and how football is lived here. The management called me constantly and made me feel that they wanted me to be at the club.”
Regarding his position, Coccaro indicated that “I played in several positions in the forward line. I have always been a player in the area, but I adapt. I played with one or two more forwards.”
“It was a good year,I happened to be in Mexico but played little because I had the top scorer forward ahead of me. But when it was my turn to participate, I did well. I come to add, they know me and I come to give 110 percent,” he warned.
Cóccaro: ”It is indeed a pride to wear the Newell’s shirt”
“We certainly know the history of the club, the players who came out here and it is a pride to be able to wear this shirt. We certainly know what Newell’s represents worldwide,” he valued.
Cóccaro specified that “we get along well with the fact that there are two coaches (Favio Orsi and Sergio Gómez), they made me feel comfortable. They are demanding and I like that they demand me and they do, I want to continue growing as a person and player. I chose the number 13 because it is my favorite number”
Cóccaro left a message to the Newell’s fans: “Before I arrived, they let you know what the classic is like.We are going to give everything.”
