A special number for Guardiola…the Manchester City coach who achieved the most victories in his first 300 matches in the Premier League
League Plus – Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, reached his 300th match as a coach in the English Premier League after leading the City on Sunday evening to victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground with two goals to none in the thirty-fifth round of the Premier League.
Manchester City’s tally reached 79 points in second place, one point behind leaders Arsenal, with the Citizens having a match in hand.
The Spanish coach became the fifth coach in the history of the Premier League to reach 300 matches in charge of one team, after Arsene Wenger (828 matches with Arsenal), Sir Alex Ferguson (810 matches with Manchester United), David Moyes (427 matches with Everton) and Jurgen Klopp. 331 matches with Liverpool.
Guardiola has achieved a distinguished record, as he is the coach with the most victories in his first 300 matches in the Premier League, with 221 victories, surpassing Jose Mourinho, who won 189 times in his first 300 meetings as a coach in the English Premier League, compared to 188 victories for Jurgen Klopp in his first 300 matches and 183 victories for the team. Alex Ferguson and 180 wins for Arsene Wenger.
Manchester City awaits four remaining matches this season at the Premier League level, as the team will host Wolverhampton and West Ham United, and will face Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.
