League Plus – Spanish club Real Madrid announced details of the injury suffered by its French player Aurélien Chouamini during the German match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Real Madrid won, with a score of (2-1), during the confrontation with Bayern Munich, on Wednesday evening, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League in the Merengue stronghold, Santiago Bernabeu.

Chouamini was substituted in the 69th minute of the match with Bayern after sustaining an injury, and his compatriot Eduardo Camavinga entered in his place.

The Royal Club’s official website published the medical statement regarding the French player’s condition, explaining that he underwent a medical examination today, Thursday, and Aurelien Chouamini was diagnosed with a strain in his left foot.

The statement added: “We are now awaiting the development of his condition.”

The Merengues had tied in the first leg in the Bavarian team’s stronghold with a score of (2-2), qualifying with a score of (4-3) on aggregate.

Real Madrid qualified for the final match at Wembley Stadium to set up a date with Germany’s Borussia Dortmund on June 1 in the English capital, London, to decide the European champion.

This will be the first final match that the Royal team plays in its history at Wembley Stadium.

Tshwamini was the victim of a similar injury in October 2023, which was a fracture of the second metatarsal, the central bone of the foot, and he was absent from the field for a period of a month and a half and from the “Roosters” national team matches in November. Chouamini’s absence constitutes a strong blow to his club and the national team, in which he is a mainstay, as he is missing the efforts of Paris Saint-Germain defender Luca Hernandez, who is suffering from a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
