Bravo’s Next Gen NYC continues to follow the lives of young socialites, including the children of Real Housewives stars, as they navigate New York City. This week’s episode highlights the growing tensions and developing relationships within the group, focusing on the dynamics between the “Housewives” kids and the other cast members.
The episode opens with Georgia recounting a night out with Charlie, during which she attempted to prove her sobriety by answering a math problem. Her incorrect answer led to a delayed confrontation with riley. Simultaneously occurring, Shai and Dylan discuss gia coming to Brooks’ defense, with Dylan showcasing his extensive knowledge of Real Housewives of New Jersey lore by referencing Gia’s viral TikTok song.
A double date featuring Teresa Giudice and her daughter Gia, along with Brooks and Meredith, offers a glimpse into their lives. Teresa breaks the fourth wall by acknowledging a camera operator from her own show. The group discusses Charlie, with gia acting as Brooks’s mouthpiece, highlighting their close bond. The most memorable moment comes when Meredith reacts with horror to the revelation that Georgia doesn’t wash her hands.
Viewers also get a closer look at Charlie, whose apartment, shared with OnlyFans model Dylan, reveals his lifestyle. A strained relationship with his father is evident, as they discuss Charlie’s unsuccessful crypto-trading ventures. Emira and Ava’s relationships are also explored, with Emira preferring Escalades to walking and Ava dating someone named Hook.
Ariana, accompanied by her boyfriend Hudson, finally integrates with the rest of the cast, starting with a meeting with Riley. Riley invites Ariana, who is new to the city, to join their group in Brooklyn. However, the prospect of Ariana joining the group causes friction, notably with Charlie, who expresses his annoyance at the number of Housewives kids on the show.
The night out in Brooklyn is fraught with tension. Charlie and Ariana clash, and Charlie reopens old wounds with Brooks by bringing up his date with Chloe. Georgia provides comic relief by promising to wash her hands for Riley and later pulling out her laptop at the club. Outside the club, Ariana confronts Charlie about his behavior, leading him to suggest that the Housewives kids are “groomed” for reality television.
“You guys are, like, groomed very well to do this nonsense. I’ll fake beef with you; I’ll fake beef with your girl,” Charlie said, highlighting the perceived advantage of growing up on reality TV.
What’s next
As the season progresses, it remains to be seen how these relationships will evolve and whether charlie will embrace his role as a foil to the more experienced reality TV personalities.
