NianticAnnounced “Peridot“Is a game app that raises virtual pets called peridot (nickname: dot). Peridot is a creature that has awakened from thousands of years of long sleep and needs the help of its users to escape the threat of extinction.
You can grow your own peridot in the app, and enjoy the process of growth by feeding, playing with, taking a walk, and so on. You can also collaborate with other players to breed peridot and create your own.
Since it is compatible with AR, it is possible to take pictures and videos that look like they actually exist in the real world. It seems that you can easily post the photos and videos you have taken from within the app.
The official release date has not been announced, but it will soon be soft-launched and initially beta-tested in a limited area. Pre-registration is available on the Niantic official website from April 13th.
