For ease of reading, we will write Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs as Pigs (x7) in this article. The band from Newcastle is preparing for the release of a brand new album on February 17th. And a new album that includes singles and from the camp of Pigs (x7) we already received “Mr Medicine” to hear. Now follows with “Ultimate Hammer” a sledgehammer blow, one of which you don’t just get a wooden head. Land of Sleeper is the fourth album of the stoners and seems to put them even more on the map.
Pigs (x7) opens with a wonderfully groovy riff that sets the tone for the rest of the song. A build-up like this can only leave a powerful song and it soon becomes apparent. The guitars rumble around and Matt Baty brings out his most powerful voice. After a good two minutes, a solid break follows, tending to the sludge, in which Baty completely releases his inner demons. A powerful guitar solo provides an epic end piece to quickly pull out afterwards and leave you with a blow of the hammer.
On May 6, the band will play in Nijmegen at Sonic Whip Festival, the day after that you can see them in Ekko, Utrecht and a few weeks later on May 20, the band will play in Trix.
