Social media pioneers circulated news about the retirement of artist Nihal Anbar, a member of the Acting Professions Syndicate, and her wearing the hijab, after a picture of her was published during her meeting with the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Ahmed Al-Tayeb.

Nihal Anbar said in a statement to Al-Watan that the photo was about a year old, and the meeting was with the Sheikh of Al-Azhar at the time to perform charitable work, accompanied by a number of friends away from the union.
Regarding her retirement from art, she said: “I do not think about these matters, especially retiring from art, and I do not pay attention to those types of rumors that appear from time to time.”
