Nintendo Delays Public release of Popular Alarmo Clock in Japan
Tokyo, Japan – Nintendo fans hoping to snag the highly anticipated Alarmo clock will have to wait a bit longer. The japanese gaming giant announced a delay in the public release of the clock in Japan, citing “production and inventory issues.”
Originally slated for a mid-February 2025 launch for non-Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, the Alarmo clock will now see a postponement.
“we had planned to start general sales to customers who are not Nintendo Switch Online subscribers from mid-February 2025,but in consideration of the production and inventory situation of this product,we have decided to postpone the start,” Nintendo said in a statement.
The company has yet to confirm a new release date, leaving eager customers in limbo. Pre-orders placed in December are now expected to ship in February 2025.
The Alarmo clock, designed with a retro aesthetic, has generated important buzz in Japan. Even Nintendo Switch Online subscribers had to enter a lottery for a chance to purchase the coveted device.
As of now, there is no indication that the production delays will affect alarmo clock availability in the United States and Europe.
