Private equity firm True North, along with Niva Bupa Health Insurance CEO Krishnan Ramachandran, has divested a combined ⁢10% stake in the health insurer. The transaction, executed through open market transactions, amounted to ⁤₹1,507 crore.

True North, operating through its special purpose vehicle Fettle Tone LLP, sold 17.29 crore shares, representing a 9.46% stake⁢ in Niva bupa Health Insurance, according to bulk ⁤deal data on the‍ BSE. Separately, ‍Ramachandran offloaded 1 crore shares, or a 0.55% ⁢stake,in the Gurugram-based company.

The shares‍ were sold at prices ranging from ₹82.11 to ⁢₹82.76⁣ apiece.Following the transaction,⁣ Fettle Tone’s ‍shareholding in Niva Bupa decreased from 17.47%⁢ to 8.01%.

DSP Mutual Fund⁤ acquired over 4.96 crore shares in four tranches,gaining a 2.72% stake in‍ Niva‍ Bupa Health Insurance. SBI Mutual Fund also picked up 1.51 crore shares, ⁢representing a ⁣0.83% stake. These shares were purchased at an average price of ‍₹82 per share, totaling ₹531.49 ⁤crore.

M Pallonji and Co Pvt Ltd ⁢also purchased more‍ then 1.35 crore shares, amounting to a 0.74% stake in Niva Bupa Health, for ₹113.83 crore. The ‍shares ⁢were acquired at an average price⁤ of ₹83.95 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
