Noakhali Chaumuhani Bazar fire, 7 units of fire service under control

A terrible fire broke out in Chaumuhani Bazar in Begumganj, one of the main commercial centers of Noakhali. The traders said that 50-60 shops have been burnt in the fire.

The fire broke out at the mosque market on Badamtala Road in the market on Sunday (April 21st) around 7:15 pm. Seven units of the fire service are working to extinguish the fire after receiving the information. The fire was not under control until this report was written at 10 pm.

The fire service and market traders said that the fire broke out at Bhuya Hosiery cloth shop in Mosque Market on Badamtala Road at around 7:30 pm. Instantly spread around. Since there is no pond around the spot and the area is densely populated, the fire service has to rush to control the fire. Initially, the fire is believed to have started from an electrical short circuit. At least 50 shops have already been burnt. The fire can cause damage of around crores of rupees.

Assistant Director of Noakhali Fire Service and Civil Defense. Farid Ahmed said, ‘Primarily, I think 50-60 shops have been burnt. Still not under control. Seven units of fire service are working. The extent of damage will be known after the fire is under control.
