Receiving excessive belief from Nationwide Meeting delegates, Normal To Lam was elected to carry the place of President for the 2021-2026 time period. The decision on electing the President was handed by the Nationwide Meeting.
The decision to elect the President for the 2021-2026 time period was simply handed by the Nationwide Meeting in the course of the morning session of Could 22.
With the vast majority of Nationwide Meeting deputies current voting in favor, Normal To Lam turned President for the 2021-2026 time period.
The oath-taking ceremony was carried out by new President To Lam instantly afterward.
President To Lam took the oath of workplace.
With a solemn ambiance in Dien Hong Corridor, Celebration and State leaders and Nationwide Meeting delegates stood as much as witness the oath-taking ceremony of recent President To Lam.
“Underneath the sacred pink flag with yellow star of the Fatherland, earlier than the Nationwide Meeting and my compatriots and voters nationwide, I, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, swear: Absolute loyalty to the Fatherland and the Folks. Folks and the Structure of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, try to satisfy the duties assigned by the Celebration, State and Folks,” new President To Lam swore.

Normal To Lam was born in 1957, from Van Giang district, Hung Yen province.
He’s a member of the Politburo of phrases XII and XIII; Member of the Celebration Central Committee, phrases XI, XII, XIII; Delegate to the 14th and fifteenth Nationwide Meeting.
After 5 years of learning at Folks’s Safety College, Mr. To Lam turned an officer of the Political Safety Division I, then held many positions in models of the Ministry of Public Safety.
Through the interval 1988-1993, he was Deputy Head after which Head of Political Safety Division I, Ministry of Public Safety.
4 years later, he successively held the positions of Deputy Director of Political Safety Division I after which Director of Political Safety Division III, Ministry of Public Safety.
From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Lam was Deputy Director Normal of the Normal Division of Safety after which Deputy Director Normal accountable for Normal Division of Safety I, Ministry of Public Safety. In 2007, he was promoted to Main Normal and promoted to Lieutenant Normal 3 years later.
In 2009, he took on the function of Director Normal of the Normal Division of Safety I, Ministry of Public Safety and have become Deputy Minister of Public Safety in August 2010.
After 6 years as Deputy Minister, he turned Minister of Public Safety in April 2016. Two years earlier, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Normal.
In 2019, Mr. To Lam was promoted to the rank of Normal and has held the place of Minister of Public Safety till now.
