North Korea Accuses South of New Drone Incursion

North Korea has accused South Korea of flying a reconnaissance drone into it’s airspace earlier this month, a claim south Korean officials have denied.
According to a statement released Saturday by a North Korean military spokesperson, carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the drone was tracked moving northward from the South Korean county of Ganghwa in early January. The drone was reportedly shot down near the North Korean city of Kaesong.
The spokesperson asserted that the drone was equipped with surveillance technology and contained footage of what they described as “notable targets,” including areas along the border.
