Bolduc Fined for Cross-Checking
St. Louis Blues forward Zachary Bolduc was fined by the NHL Department of Player Safety for cross-checking Nashville Predators defenseman Nick Blankenburg during sunday’s 4-1 victory.
Bolduc will be fined $2,248.26, the maximum allowable amount under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The incident occurred at 13:22 of the third period. Blankenburg appeared to make contact with Robert Thomas’s knee. While the Predators defender was on the ice, Bolduc cross-checked him in the back.
bolduc, No. 76 for St. Louis, was ejected from the game following the play.
Monahan Returns to Blue Jackets Lineup
The columbus Blue Jackets are getting a boost as they push for a playoff spot.
Center Sean Monahan is expected to return to the lineup Monday night when the New York Islanders visit Columbus.
The 30-year-old veteran has been sidelined since Jan. 7 with a hand injury. He has 14 goals and 41 points in 41 games this season.
Last season, split between the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets, Monahan tallied 26 goals and 59 points in 83 games.
Columbus will also receive a boost on defense.
Erik Gudbranson, who has spent most of the season as a healthy scratch, is slated to play his fourth game of the season.
He had been on injured reserve as October after undergoing shoulder surgery.
The Blue Jackets are currently on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. With a 2-7-1 record in their last 10 games, Columbus is four points behind the Montreal Canadiens for the final wild-card spot. The Islanders are two points ahead of the Blue Jackets in the standings.
Demko Activated from Injured reserve
The Vancouver Canucks are set to welcome back their No. 1 goaltender, Thatcher demko.
The team announced that Demko has been activated from injured reserve ahead of their game against the New jersey Devils.
Demko participated in a full practice with his teammates on Sunday, following a 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers.
The American goaltender was injured on Feb. 8 and placed on injured reserve on Feb. 23. He also began the 2024-2025 season on injured reserve,making his season debut on Dec. 10.
In 17 games this season, the 29-year-old Demko has a 6-6-3 record with a 2.87 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage.
Vancouver (32-26-12) is currently five points behind the St. Louis Blues for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Chychrun Avoids Serious Injury
Washington capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun missed practice Monday after suffering a cut on his arm in Saturday’s game against the Florida Panthers.
The 26-year-old defenseman avoided a more serious injury.
Chychrun fell in the corner of the rink and appeared to be cut on the wrist by a skate.He left the ice and did not play the final 8:09 of the first period but returned in the second period.
capitals coach spencer Carberry said Chychrun will travel with the team, but his availability for Tuesday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets is uncertain.

Carberry said.
Chychrun has been a key player in his first season in Washington, scoring 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points in 64 games.
