NTU Provides All Students Premium Google AI Tools in Curriculum Overhaul

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) announced on April 6, 2026, that it will provide all undergraduate students with full access to premium Google AI tools. This initiative is part of a broader curriculum overhaul designed to integrate artificial intelligence across the institution’s academic offerings.

The university will grant students access to a suite of professional AI platforms, including Gemini Enterprise, Google AI Studio and Vertex AI. According to reports from CNA and Let’s Data Science, this access is scheduled to begin in August 2026.

Curriculum Integration and 2030 Goals

The provision of these tools is central to NTU’s strategy to embed AI into its educational framework. The university has set a target to expand AI-embedded courses to approximately 40% of its total offerings by 2030.

This target represents a significant increase from the current state of the curriculum, where approximately 5% of courses are currently AI-embedded.

Technical Support and Responsible Use

In addition to software access, NTU plans to provide computing credits to support students in the development of student-built portable AI agents.

The university’s overhaul also includes an educational component focused on the ethical application of these technologies, with plans to teach students the responsible AI use of the tools provided.
