Nurse Killed, Dentist Injured in Fiery Rohini Crash
Rohini, Delhi - Tragedy struck the Begampur area of Rohini on Monday morning when a head-on collision between a car and an SUV claimed the life of a 47-year-old nurse and left a dentist critically injured.
the accident, which occurred around 11 a.m., involved a Santro carrying Jyoti, a staff nurse at Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital, and Vijayant, a 47-year-old dentist at a private hospital. The Santro collided with a Scorpio SUV, leaving both vehicles severely damaged.
Police arrived at the scene to find the mangled wreckage of the two vehicles. Both Jyoti and Vijayant were rushed to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, where Jyoti was tragically pronounced dead. Vijayant,who was driving the Santro,sustained severe injuries and remains unable to provide a statement.
“We are currently investigating the incident,” stated a police officer.”CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to determine the sequence of events leading up to the collision. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the driver of the Scorpio, who fled the scene.”
