news body

NVIDIA (CEO Jen-Shen Huang), a leader in AI computing technology, announces that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™, featuring NVIDIA DLSS 3 and other NVIDIA technologies, will be available on May 25 announced . DLSS 2 is supported in two titles, Firmament and Togges.

The definitive ‘Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ experience

Based on the novel by JRR Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ is an adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment, the creators of Deponia and many other popular titles.

Available May 25, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ supports DLSS 3, NVIDIA DLAA, NVIDIA Reflex, ray-traced shadows and reflections.

Improved performance with DLSS 3

GeForce RTX 40 series gamers can double their performance with DLSS 3 when playing The Lord of the Rings: Gollum ™. In 4K, the performance of the GeForce RTX 4090 is increased 3.5x, providing 169 frames per second (FPS) with all settings maximized and all ray tracing options enabled. The GeForce RTX 4080 can record 123 FPS, an increase of 3.8x. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti improved speed 3.9 times, enabling 100 FPS gameplay, and the GeForce RTX 4070 improved 3.8 times, resulting in 79 FPS in the benchmark.

On GeForce RTX 40 series laptops, DLSS 3 provides an average performance increase of 2.5x at 2560×1440 with maximum settings and ray tracing enabled. At 1080p, DLSS 3 enables all RTX 40 series notebook GPUs to run at over 90 FPS, with the flagship GeForce RTX 4090 GPU notebook breaking 200 FPS.

Improve image quality with DLAA

GeForce RTX gamers can improve image quality with NVIDIA DLAA, an AI-powered anti-aliasing mode that uses the same technology used to develop DLSS. DLAA uses native resolution images to maximize image quality. Therefore, in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™, DLAA can be combined with DLSS Frame Generation to achieve excellent image quality and performance.

Responsive Gameplay with NVIDIA Reflex

To further improve gameplay responsiveness, gamers with GeForce RTX or GeForce GTX 900 series or higher GPUs can enable NVIDIA Reflex. Enabling Nvidia Reflex reduces system latency, making actions faster. This makes single player titles more responsive and enjoyable for players, and increases their ability to compete in multiplayer games. Enabling Reflex in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum™ reduces system latency by up to 56%.

More DLSS games

DLSS Momentum continues to grow, with the following DLSS games being added:

– Permament: DLSS 2 now available

– Toges: DLSS 2 now available
