Nvidia CEO jensen Huang Receives IEEE Medal of Honor
Jensen Huang, cofounder adn CEO of Nvidia, will receive the 2026 IEEE Medal of Honor for his contributions to graphics processing units and their submission to scientific computing and artificial intelligence. The announcement came on January 6, 2026, from IEEE President and CEO Mary Ellen Randall at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas.
Huang cofounded Nvidia in 1993. In 1999, under his leadership, Nvidia introduced the programmable GPU, a device that spurred significant advancements in multiple fields.
