The overnight drone warfare also inflicted damage ‍on ⁣residential buildings and railway infrastructure in the city. Odesa, crucial for Ukrainian imports and exports, has faced constant Russian attacks as the war’s onset.

Oleh Kiper, the local governor, reported damage to civilian infrastructure, including homes, a higher education institution, a gas pipeline, and vehicles. He posted images showing burning houses and damaged high-rise buildings.

Emergency services reported at least ⁢10 drone strikes on residential areas, causing notable fires. Ukraine’s air force stated that Russia launched 86 drones overnight. Military officials said air defenses downed 34 drones,while electronic warfare or drone simulators accounted for another 36. However, eight locations sustained hits.

Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s state railway, reported damage to Odesa railway ⁣station, including power lines and rails.

Kharkiv, in northeastern Ukraine, also experienced drone strikes overnight,damaging houses,officials said.
