Odessa A’zion is exiting A24’s upcoming adaptation of the novel Deep Cuts, just 48 hours after her casting was announced.
The I Love LA star, 25, shared her decision in several Instagram Stories posted late Wednesday, January 28, explaining that she agreed wiht criticism over her casting as Zoe Gutierrez. The character is described in author Holly brickley‘s book as half-Mexican and half-Jewish.
“Guys!! I am with ALL of you and I am not doing this movie,” A’zion wrote, following up with another post that read, “F* that.I’m OUT.”
