Liverpool’s first football team, competing in the English Premier League, officially announced on Thursday that it has signed winger Federico Chiesa from Italian side Juventus on a long-term contract.

The English club said in a statement: “Liverpool have reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Federico Chiesa.”

The Italy winger moved to Juventus on loan from Fiorentina for the 2020-2021 season before joining the Turin-based side permanently in 2022, scoring 32 goals in 131 matches.
Chiesa scored seven goals in 51 international matches with Italy and was part of the team that won the European Championship in 2020.
