As expected, it was a great victory for Mayor Oh Se-hoon, the power of the people.

“Oh Se-hun! Oh Se-hun!”

Mayor Oh showed a gap of more than 19 percentage points with Democratic Party candidate Song Young-gil, and took the seat of Seoul mayor for the first time in history.

After winning the by-election last year, he won again after one year, extended his term by four more years, and became a strong candidate for the next presidential election in the passport.

Mayor Oh gained even more power as the mayor of the Seoul area and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, who were all-in-the-democratic parties, also had the power of the people in the majority.

“I feel a really heavy responsibility. I expect that the work environment will be a little bit different from last year, so that I can work as I intended.”

Mayor Oh said that he would speed up the supply of real estate, such as revitalizing reconstruction and redevelopment of old residential areas, which he had made as a key pledge.

On the other hand, Candidate Song Young-gil, who went to the election despite the controversy within the party over whether to run or not, came to bear the theory of responsibility for losing the election.
