Ohio Opioid Bust: 4 California Men Arrested with 3,000 Pills | Geechi Gotti

Rapper Geechi Gotti Arrested in Ohio Opioid Pill Theft

West Chester, Ohio – Rapper Geechi Gotti, whose real name is Marcus Fantroy, was arrested in Butler County, Ohio, on February 5th following a traffic stop that uncovered nearly 3,000 stolen opioid pills. Fantroy and three other men from California are facing drug possession charges in connection with a series of pharmacy thefts.

The incident began when West Chester police stopped a vehicle on I-75. According to police reports, the occupants attempted to flee the scene, but officers quickly apprehended them near the Streets of West Chester. A search of the vehicle revealed a significant quantity of pharmaceutical drugs.

“We searched thoroughly. There was a large amount of pharmaceuticals in the car that looked like [they] came straight from a pharmacy,” Detective Kevin Burger of the West Chester Police Department stated during the suspects’ preliminary hearing. The seized drugs included oxycodone, morphine, and Vicodin, all believed to have been stolen from pharmacies.

Investigators have linked the stolen drugs to a pharmacy called The Medicine Shoppe in Bellevue, Ohio. Police also believe cash found in the vehicle was taken from a pharmacy in Perrysburg, Ohio. The total estimated value of the stolen pharmaceuticals is between $10,000 and $15,000, according to Detective Burger, representing the wholesale cost to the pharmacies, and a significantly higher value on the street.

Detectives had been monitoring the suspects since one of them arrived at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport last week. Those arrested alongside Fantroy include Tyrus Crew, Anthony Ellison, and Lequan Miller. All four men are now charged with drug possession.

“We’re looking at over 10-15 thousand dollars worth of pharmaceutical drugs at least. That’s what it is to the pharmacy. That’s not what it is worth on the streets, so we’re talking about lots and lots and lots of pills,” Burger said.

During the preliminary hearing, Detective Burger indicated that the group may be involved in similar pharmacy thefts in other locations, stating in court, “These men do this quite often.”

Judge Courtney Caparella-Kraemer found sufficient evidence to bind the case over to a grand jury. No court date has been announced as of February 11, 2026.

Geechi Gotti, known for his prominence in the battle rap scene, was booked under his legal name, Marcus Fantroy. The arrest has prompted an outpouring of support from fans within the battle rap community, many expressing shock at his arrest so far from his home base in Compton, California.
