Olivia Rodrigo has released an alternate music video for her new single “Drop Dead,” available exclusively on Spotify. The video, which premiered on April 20, 2026, follows the singer on a European journey beginning in London and continuing to Paris.

The alternate video shows Rodrigo sipping a Guinness in a London pub, filming herself as she walks through the city’s streets and admires landmarks such as Big Ben. She then boards a train with her guitar case, heading to Paris, where she sings in front of the Eiffel Tower and visits the Arc de Triomphe.

The official music video for “Drop Dead,” released on April 17, 2026, features Rodrigo frolicking around the Palace of Versailles. Both videos were shared shortly after the song’s debut, which serves as the lead single from her upcoming third studio album.

Rodrigo announced the alternate video on social media, stating, “One night I was bored in bed/ And stalked you on the internet,” a line that appears in the song’s lyrics. The track is part of what she has described as the beginning of her “Sad Lover Girl” era.

Her last full-length album, GUTS, topped the Billboard 200 in 2023. The new album is slated for release in June 2026.

“Drop Dead” is now available for streaming on all major platforms, with the alternate version accessible only through Spotify.
