Tom Craig, an Australian national men’s hockey player, has been suspended for one year by the Australian Hockey Association after being arrested by local police for attempting to purchase cocaine during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Craig, a silver medalist at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, was arrested while trying to buy cocaine in August. He was released a day after his arrest.
The Australian Hockey Association has announced that Craig will be suspended for one year, with the possibility of exempting the remaining six months of the suspension when the halfway mark has passed.
Craig represented Australia at the Paris Olympics in August, where the Australian men’s hockey team was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
