Canadian artist Sue Foley will perform in Kelowna on March 12, 2025. She supports her new solo acoustic album, One Guitar Woman. The concert will happen at the Metro Hub.
Foley honors female pioneers of guitar in her music. She recently received her first Grammy nomination for Traditional Blues Album on November 8. Creative Okanagan praised Foley as a leading figure in the Blues genre. Her album One Guitar Woman is more than a tribute; it reflects her unique style and deep connection to the music’s roots.
Foley’s guitar work and vibrant vocals breathe new life into cherished songs. She has released 13 albums and won several awards. Notably, she was awarded Traditional Female Artist of the Year four times at The Blues Music Awards in Memphis. In 2023, she won Guitarist of the Year and Blues Act of the Year at the Austin Music Awards. She also received the Lifetime Achievement/Blues with a Feeling Award at the 2024 Maple Blues Awards.
