Nike and the long-running anime franchise One Piece are launching a collaborative sneaker and apparel collection in Fall 2026, featuring three distinct Air Max Plus models themed after iconic Devil Fruits, according to reporting by Sole Retriever.
The upcoming capsule brings together the sportswear giant and the legendary anime universe for a multi-piece drop scheduled between July and September 2026. According to Sole Retriever, the collection includes footwear and matching apparel inspired by the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Mera Mera no Mi, and Ope Ope no Mi fruits from the series. Each sneaker carries a retail price of $180 and will be available in men’s sizing through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
Devil Fruit Colorways and Pricing Details
The collaboration centers on three separate Air Max Plus colorways designed to match the distinct visual identities of the fictional source material. According to Sole Retriever’s product breakdown, the lineup features specific color palettes for each fruit model.
The One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus Gomu Gomu features a Space Purple, Atomic Green, Purple Venom, Altitude Green, Light Lemon Twist, and Sport Red color scheme. The Mera Mera version arrives in Brilliant Orange, Healing Jade, Kumquat, Vibrant Yellow, Solar Flare, and Enamel hues. Rounding out the trio, the Ope Ope edition utilizes Very Berry, Green Quartz, Sport Red, Jade Aura, and Fortress tones.
Alongside the footwear, Nike plans to release a matching apparel capsule. While official imagery for the sneakers and clothing has not yet been released, the confirmed color schemes directly mirror their respective Devil Fruit inspirations within the One Piece universe.
Franchise Footwear History and Industry Context
This release represents Nike’s second major collaboration with a popular anime franchise, following a Yu-Gi-Oh! capsule that launched earlier this year, as reported by Sole Retriever. For One Piece, the partnership adds to a growing footprint in the footwear and streetwear industries.
Since debuting in animation in 1999, the franchise has expanded across more than 1,100 episodes and 21 seasons. Past footwear collaborations include projects with Vans, Puma, atmos, and a recent Luffy Gear 5-inspired Classic Clog with Crocs.
