‘It’s Doni, I don’t have any money to go home, can I give you 600 rupees?’ The cricket world is in shock
Attempting to commit online fraud in the name of Indian legend MS Dhoni. The fraudster was sending messages from a fake account asking for money in Dhoni’s name.
A message was sent on behalf of Dhoni via Instagram saying that he is stuck in Ranchi without money to return home and needs 600 rupees.
Hello, I am MS Dhoni. I am sending you a message from my personal account as I am currently in Ranchi. I need Rs 600 to reach home. If I get that money, I can go home on the bus. I will send the money back as soon as I reach home,’ said the fraudster in Dhoni’s name.

This issue has already become a topic of discussion on social media. Following this, the Department of Telecommunications also asked people to be wary of such fraudsters.
‘Beware of fraudsters who try to deceive you. Sending messages in the name of legend Dhoni asking for bus tickets is trying to trap you. So if you get a message from such people, beware of them,’ the Department of Telecommunications posted on X.
