User Reports and Impact
According to downdector.ie, a website tracking service outages, approximately 80% of users reported issues sending emails, while 11% were unable to receive messages. an additional 9% experienced a complete inability to log in to Microsoft Outlook.
The majority of reported problems originated in Dublin, Ireland, even though the outage wasn’t universal across the country; some users continued to send and receive emails despite the disruptions.
Partial Restoration reported
Shortly after 3:00 PM on August 29, 2024, some users began reporting that Outlook was at least partially functioning again. As of this time, Microsoft has not provided a specific timeframe for a full resolution.
