Palestine Hails Saudi Crown Prince’s Historic Speech: A New Era of Unity and Cooperation
A spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath that “the speech of the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was widely welcomed in Palestine.”
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that “the Saudi position on the Palestinian issue is firm.”
“The Saudi crown prince’s speech gave us a strong boost internationally,” he said.
On Wednesday, the Saudi crown prince insisted his country would not establish diplomatic ties with Israel before a Palestinian state was established, condemning Israeli crimes in the besieged Gaza Strip.
After opening the first year of the Shura Council’s ninth session, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced that the Palestinian issue is at the forefront of his country’s concerns.
He also renewed the Kingdom’s rejection and strong condemnation of Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, insisting that Israel is ignoring international and humanitarian law in a new and bitter chapter of suffering.
He explained that the Kingdom would not stop its tireless efforts towards establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that Saudi Arabia would not establish any diplomatic relations with Israel.
