Paris Saint-Germain sweeps Lyon by four without Mbappe in the French League

The Paris Saint-Germain team defeated its counterpart, Olympique Lyonnais, 4-1, during the match that brought the two teams together on Sunday evening at the “Parc des Princes” stadium, as part of the matches of the thirtieth round of the French Football League “Ligue 1” competitions for the current season 2023-24.

All the goals came in the first half, as Paris’ goals were scored by: Lyon’s Nemanja Matic (an own goal), Lucas Peraldo and Gonzalo Ramos (two goals) in the 3rd, 6th, 32nd and 42nd minutes respectively, while Lyon’s Noamah scored in the 37th minute.

Kylian Mbappé, the Paris Saint-Germain star, came to the team’s substitutes’ bench and remained on the bench until the end of the match, as coach Luis Enrique wanted to rest him.

The formation was as follows: Goalkeeper: Donnarumma – Defense: Hakimi, Marquinhos, Danilo, Beraldo – Midfield: Vitinha, Zaire Emery, Asensio – Attack: Gonzalo Ramos, Colo Moani, Barcola.

With this result, Paris Saint-Germain sits at the top of the French League standings with 66 points, collected from winning 19 matches, drawing 9 matches and losing one match, with a difference of 11 points.

The Olympique Lyonnais team is in eighth place in the French League table with 41 points, collected from winning 12 matches, losing 13, and drawing 5 matches.
