‌ Paul ​Mescal called ‌Paul McCartney “an extraordinary man,” and revealed that he’s spent some time with the musician he’s‌ playing in Sam Mendes’ four-part Beatles biopic.

⁤ Speaking with IndieWire, Mescal⁢ said of McCartney, “To‍ spend any ‍time – its a crazy sentence to say that I’ve ​spent time with that⁢ man, let alone play ‍him.”

mescal didn’t share any more details about the project, or his time with McCartney,⁤ though when asked if he planned to sing in the film, he replied, “Yeah, yeah, absolutely ‌yeah.”

⁣ ⁢Along with Mescal as McCartney, the⁢ Beatles films will star⁣ Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph quinn as George Harrison, and Barry ​Keoghan as ‌Ringo Starr. ⁢Earlier this ⁤year, keoghan revealed that he’d spent some time with the drummer, telling Jimmy Kimmel he whent to Starr’s house,‍ chatted​ with him, and watched ‍him play the drums a bit.
