Paws-itive Proof I’ve Found My Literary Twin: My Dog’s Bizarre Reading Habit Has Me Howling with Laughter
As autumn arrives, many of us look forward to cozying up with a good book. On Twitter, a photo of a dog who seems to have anticipated this reading season has gone viral. Lying on his back next to an open book, he looks just like a tired human taking a break from reading.
Meet Komachi, the Corgi Who Loves to Relax
Komachi, a 4-year-old Welsh Corgi Pembroke, is a cheerful and curious girl. She loves playing with balls and is an expert at catching balls thrown high into the air. After a vigorous workout, she usually relaxes on the sofa with her owner.
A Photo That Captured the Internet’s Heart

The photo of Komachi lying on her back on the sofa, with her head resting on a cushion and her body stretched out in a relaxed manner, has garnered 12,000 likes on Twitter. Her owner, who posted the photo, said, “It’s not surprising since it’s normal for things to take up space when you get up from your seat. But on this day, when I returned to the room, the book I was reading matched it perfectly. It looked just like Komachi had been reading, so I couldn’t help but take a picture.”
Komachi’s human-like behavior even surprised her owner. Apparently, she is skilled at using a pillow to sleep like a human. After the photo was taken, Komachi fell asleep, and her owner resumed reading under the sofa.
Komachi will likely continue to spend peaceful times with her owner on her favorite sofa, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
