People Power Party Reviewing Candidate Relocation in Seoul Jung-dong and Seongdong for Election Strategy

The People Power Party has decided to review the relocation in some areas where nomination candidates are concentrated, such as Seoul Jung-dong and Seongdong.

Jung-Seongdong-eul is an area where three current and former lawmakers, including Rep. Ha Tae-kyung, who declared his candidacy in the metropolitan area, former Rep. Lee Hye-hoon and former minister of SMEs and Start-ups Lee Young, has applied for appointment.

Nomination Management Committee Chairman Jeong Young-hwan met with reporters at the People Power Party headquarters this morning and said, “If our workforce is concentrated in the same area, we may need to redistribute ourselves to win. I think there might be something like that, especially in the Seoul area.”

President Jeong said, “For the details, I think we will have to gather the ideas of the embassy committee members after the interview,” and explained that Jung-seongdong is also a target for regional adjustment.

However, General Secretary Jang Dong-hyuk said: “I have no intention of forcibly or artificially transferring big names or competitive and famous people regardless of their will just because they are concentrated in a certain constituency.”
