Perry Saturn Discharged From Hospital Following Respiratory Issues

Former professional wrestler Perry Saturn has been discharged from the hospital after spending much of last week receiving treatment for a severe series of respiratory issues, according to a video update shared on his YouTube channel.

Hospitalization Follows Missed Interview Recording

The health scare began on Monday, October 5, when Saturn was scheduled to record an interview for his YouTube channel on the same day the platform published a conversation with Paul London, wrestlingnews.co reported. Chase, who records interviews for the channel, stated that Saturn texted him on Monday to report he was not feeling well and asked to postpone their session by a day.

Tuesday came around and he ended up going into the hospital, Chase said in the video, as noted by wrestlingnews.co. He’s been having some, we’ll call it, respiratory issues, and it’s a whole slew of respiratory issues. He ended up in and out of the hospital pretty much all of last week.

Fears Raised After Days of Silence From Saturn

During the hospitalization, those close to the former WWE and ECW star grew increasingly alarmed when he stopped answering messages.

We could not even get in touch with him for a couple of days, Chase said, according to Ringside News. I was talking to you, I was talking to Sonny Onoo, who’s very close with Perry, and we were all very concerned, calling constantly. Luckily he surfaced last night, had just been discharged.

Maven filled in as host for the YouTube channel’s video update while Saturn recovered at home. Last month, Saturn shared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet that he had suffered blood clots in his lungs following two hip replacements, which resulted in congestive heart failure and left him short of breath when walking across a room.

Expected Timeline For YouTube Channel Return

Chase noted that Saturn seems to be on the right track now, though it could take anywhere from several days to more than a week before he is well enough to resume recording. Saturn is scheduled to celebrate his 60th birthday on October 25.

The channel plans to release another video featuring Maven later in the week, with hopes that Saturn can return to his hosting duties by next week.
