Petrol Price Hike | ’95 per cent of people in the country do not need petrol ‘; UP minister justifies fuel price

Uttar Pradesh Minister Upendra Tiwari has justified the rising fuel price hike in the country. According to the minister, 95 per cent of the people do not need petrol and very few people who use four-wheelers need fuel.

“The government has given the Kovid vaccine to millions of people for free. It has gone door-to-door distributing medicines and making Kovid treatment free. It is clear that fuel prices in UP have not increased much compared to other states.” ANI reports that Upendra Tiwari said.

He said fuel prices have not gone up much and petrol and diesel prices are very low compared to per capita income.

Compared to pre-2014 statistics, per capita income has doubled during the Yogi-Modi government. Rejecting the opposition’s criticism of the fuel price hike, the minister said the government had ensured the supply of petrol, diesel and electricity to the people.
